What We Do

DHAC is an action-oriented, relationship-building effort to increase affordable housing options in DuPage County.

Each year at the DHAC Annual Meeting in January, DHAC identifies priority issues at the local, state and national level, creating strategies for pushing forward those issues.

DHAC meets monthly to plan actions, and analyze issues. Our actions include postcard campaigns through area churches, community-wide publicity events, in-district meetings with elected officials to build and strengthen relationships and garner support for legislative priorities, and collaborative efforts with area organizations to foster affordable housing initiatives. DHAC also participates in advocacy efforts in Springfield, in partnership with state housing coalitions.
